The vanilla orchid required an outside germinator to germinate. A very small bee is probably the only germinator in nature. The orchid is only open on 1 morning of the year. How did a system like that evolve? I’m thinking the orchids probably had an ancestor that was germinated by the bees, and it evolved into the vanilla orchid. What do you think?
