A ground hog has been hiding underneath my shed. My dogs have been trying to get at him for a couple of weeks now. In doing so they totally wrecked my flower garden I had next to my shed. What is worse is that they came to my garden in front of my house and did the same thing! I have so many plants either totally destroyed or hanging on to their last stalks. I about cried. They know I’m mad at them, but I very seriously doubt they will stop doing this. I can’t put up gates around my flower gardens. I’ve yelled/scolded them – I was very upset holding all my dead flowers in my hand to let them see what they did.
Do you have any suggestions on what I can do?
I’m in the country – in fact my property backs up to farm land. I have a neighbor that does take care of killing the ground hogs around here. This one is a baby ground hog that just moved in and my neighbor has tried a couple of times to get him.
My dogs have never dug my gardens before this.
oh, and I know it’s my dogs destroying my flower garden because I caught them doing it.
