The two big myths about orchids are that they are expensive and difficult to grow. That is what many people believe. Neither is one is necessarily true, which I can hopefully show you with the following orchid information. Sure, you can find very expensive orchids. I found a very rare, and highly endangered, orchid from Malaysia that has a price tag of $5,000. I agree, orchids are generally more expensive than your average houseplant.
